NWMLS has created a new form, Form 22SS (Short Sale Addendum), to assist Licensees and parties in transactions that are or become "Short Sales." Form 22SS should be attached to the purchase and sale agreement in transactions that are Short Sales.  

Rules have been revised to deal with certain issues regarding Short Sales:

·         Rule 11 has been revised to require listing agents to disclose if a sale is a Short Sale  

·         Rule 101 has been revised to address concerns over the potential reduction in selling office commissions in a Short Sale  

·         Rule 120 has been revised to address how to report the status of a Short Sale transaction to NWMLS
